Educating children and adults about the natural world through guided exploration of our habitats is one of the goals of Bucktoe Creek Preserve. We work toward this goal by leading weekly bird and botanical walks, and by hosting nature programs through the Delaware Nature Society and The Land Conservancy for Southern Chester County (TLC). We also hire seasonal interns who spend a portion of their work experience learning about the flora, fauna and natural systems on the preserve. In the past, we have hosted "walk and talks" that are geared toward sharing our land stewardship values with interested individuals. We have also had the Kennett High School conduct a watershed lesson series within our experimental watershed. We are exploring the possibility of a series of nature classes for young children. We hope to have these classes available soon. Please check the "Events" section of this website to see if any of our offerings interest you! Hope to see you at one of them!
