Accompany a licensed bird bander during fall songbird migration. Witness the procedure of taking birds out of mist nets, weighing and measuring, as well as aging, sexing, banding, and assisting with the release of songbirds. We will probably catch year-round resident birds such as titmice and chickadees, but may also catch migrants such as warblers, vireos, flycatchers, thrushes and other songbirds. This program meets at the Bucktoe Creek Preserve. Bring your camera for good "in-the-hand" photos.
