Led by local mycologist Tina Ellor. Learn to identify local mushrooms.
Afterward enjoy mushrooms prepared by Eric Aber, owner and head-chef at Homegrown Restaurant in Newark, DE.

Children’s Yoga September and October
Led by Disha Mattive, RYT and Certified Childlight Yoga Instructor. Monday mornings 9:30-10:45. This class is designed with children in mind and includes age and developmentally appropriate yoga poses, incorporating nature, playing and storytelling. (ages 2.5 to 5 years)

2nd Annual Bucktoe Bird Blitz! Sunday, May 16th from 6AM - 6PM. Expert guided bird walks every two hours beginning at 6AM. Enjoy a catered light lunch from noon - 2pm. Help us beat our record of number of bird species found in one day. This event coincides with teh maximum diversity of bird life in spring migration. Bird walks begin from our parking area.

NEW! YOGA outdoors at Bucktoe Creek Preserve. Connect the beautiful worlds of nature and yoga! This is an hour-long flow class, perfect for students of any level. Each class will end with a guided meditation incorporating Bucktoe Creek Preserve’s peaceful surroundings, relaxing the body and awakening the senses. Organic tea and snack will be offered after the class. Students should bring their own mat or towel as well as water and sun protection. Two 4-week sessions in May and June. Tuesdays 5:30 - 6:45 pm. First Annual Bucktoe BIG sit!
This is a FREE all-day birding event that challenges observers to identify as many bird species as possible from a 17-foot diameter circle. Free and no registration required. Light fare will be provided throughout the day. More information is given on the flyer attached below. See directions under the "About" section of the website.
